Increase Difficulty of Faction PvE
Okay, so lots of people have finished Factions PvE........ 2 days in. Yeah.
If Factions had the lvl 20 content it was supposed to have since the elite content is locked away from the average user then that simply should not be possible. lvl 20 content means lvl 20s have to really fight for it, work hard, and often fail in the attempt.
Thunderhead Keep (used to be) the only mission turly worthy of being called lvl 20 content. Often it would take days for people to get passed it. Now you have this whole new chapter to make things right. Please do.
Anyone agree? Or Disagree of course...

Sure, much harder than C1 in part, but obviously not hard enough.

Have you done all the Cantha missions yet? Or is this complaint stemming from seeing others who already have? With a good group/guildmates, I don't doubt their ability to get through the game fast. It has happened just like it did in the first chapter. But since everyone or most of us at least have a better understanding of the gameplay/mechanics now, etc., shouldn't mean the new game content should be made painstakingly impossible to satisfy some GW vets either. What of newcomers to GW who don't have Prophecies? (possible but doubt it...most likely and already has happened though)
Tried Elite missions yet? And if you haven't partaken in Elite missions yet, why bother judging/making assumptions about the regular PVE content? If you want some random hardcore crap to do....do some Title-farming or something.

keep in mind that one MAJOR difference between factions and prophecies is that in factions you can input people who are lvl 20 right away, into the middle of the storyline. this was not possible in prophecies; where everyone was the same lvl starting off; lvl 1. im sure a few people have beaten it wih new chars already, but almost certainly with assistance from existing lvl 20s.

Maybe it's easier than some prophecies missions if you have a skilled guild group doing them but for people like me who try to do missions with henchmen when possible the Factions missions are insanely difficult. Of course, this is in part because the henchmen in Factions have even worse builds than the ones in Prophecies, but even so some of the missions have much less margin for error lest you be overrun by dozens of monsters.

you have to consider how many actually have managed to beat the game with new chars ? ... not many .. most have beaten the game with old top notch lvl 20 chars from ch1

if its too eay, take your armour off...
or go alone, with no guildies or henchies...
or just use training level wepons (ie, gained at low level areas)
why the frell should they make the game hard for everyone else, just because a few rushers can finish the main plotline in the 2 days or so since the game was available!?
thats like complaining that a genius can do math better than you, so they should have to do it without a calculator or paper or even knowing half the sum, simply cause they are able to do it faster than you....
if they want to finish the main plotline befor everyone else, pff, let em.
they ether want the fame and status of being the FIRST to finish...or they want to get the main plotline over and done with so they can get to their prefered playstile...that of ether pvp or getting the skills to pvp/pve unlock total....
not everyone finishes the game with ALL thier characters, you know...
some finish it with one, to actually SEE the ending, then spend the rest of their time in game getting up to the point where they could finish it, *IF* they wanted to

I cant start to count the number of "OMG Factions is too hard" threads that are spawning as i am typing this. As for the Factions PvE being completed 2 days in, i think the problems stems not on difficulty but rather perhaps a lack of playable content since Jeff Strain had confessed that Cantha will have lesser missions and quest than Tyria but more content per area. I like to take my time to explore each inch of the environment and am still enjoying all the new areas without concentrating on trying to complete the game in the shortest time possible but it may be different for different players of course.

i would only count beating if you started from the beginning with a new character, it is a lot harder than prophecies and i think much more fun

Well, many days have passed, Ive moved further in, done more quests, seen more things, tackled more bad guys in larger nastier groups.... still to easy.
I dont get it, youd think they would have at least tried. You can _still_ run through most zones, and do them with small teams of as little as 3-4 people (and yes, rits + barrage does tend to make a fool out of it). Obviously AN hasnt learnt anything from the last year.
Few skills changes to each mob to allow them to stop runners, a few extra guys in each mob with more varied skills and theyd have something. And then perhaps wed still be reading about the challenges ahead vs reading about the disapointment that was, less than a week in.

Well, I'm happy with the difficulty of the missions are atm. If you want them to be made harder, do what has already been mentioned. Take armour off, solo fight it... whatever... just dont make it harder.
And thunderhead wasn't even that hard, I find two of the missions that ive done so far in factions to be much harder than profecies, maybe it's still early days.

I completely disagree, some missions are absolutely crazy. That isn't to say they're impossible; with a balanced group any mission can be completed. But ArenaNet has made them difficult enough. The majority of missions cannot be henched now, whereas in Prophecies, literally any mission could be henched with relative ease. Factions seems to encourage full groups of actual players, which in effect results in more efficient mission completion. It's fine the way it is.

Im going to go ahead and assume that the people that finished factions already (or in 2 days) bought the game at 12:01 AM on april 28th, ran home and started playing, got some good level 20's to help out once they got over the the mainland and played litterally non-stop. Or they rushed through and only did what they had to, which is hardly playing the game - if you take your time and do all the quests and missions and everything, its going to be much more fun, and its going to take longer.
A lot of people had prophecies finished before me, but i didn't get on here and complain that it must be too easy. Its going to take me a while to finish factions, but oh well - that doesn't mean im going to complain beacuse someone else can devote all there time to playing for two days straight and win.
If its 'too easy' for you, then take some advice on here, and take your armor off, go with a small group of henchies, or go alone. Otherwise play it the way you played prophecies and don't worry about how fast someone else can do it. If you don't want to see what the missions and stuff have in store, dont read any thread that says "spoilers" in it.
I personally think is challenging enough - I attempted a quest over in the starter island 8 times before i could get it right, i speant a few hours on that, mainly beacuse i wanted to do it myself, i didnt ask for help from level 20's, i used henchies and myself. and it felt very rewarding when i got it done. So the difficulty is fine imo.
